How is it possible that in 2010 the opponents of anti-Semitism can be shut down by the “authorities” but the supporters of anti-Semites are allowed to have free reign in the internet and our college campuses with no repercussions for their actions while they spew vicious hatred against Jews?

Recently I was witness to three wrongs committed against me and the Jewish people but I alone was punished by a society whose moral compass has been turned upside down by the forces of political correctness and cultural relativism. These three wrongs were the following;

  • 1. A member of the Muslim Students Association (MSA) and its former media officer, Jumanah Albahri, expressed her support for Hezbollah’s commitment of genocide against the Jewish people.
  • 2. My Facebook profile was disabled because the supporters of Jumanah Albahri objected to my support of a Facebook group calling for her expulsion from her university (where the incident took place).
  • 3. My blog was deleted at the behest of the creator of the group supporting Jumanah Albahri, Jacob Ryan Gutierrez and Ayesha Dar, another member of that group, and apologist for Albahri.

I would like to explain each of these three wrongs in more detail. A few months ago David Horowitz, the conservative writer, gave a talk at the University of California San Diego when during the question period, while asking him a question, Jumanah Albahri, admitted to supporting Hezbollah’s contention that:

If they (Jews) all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide. (Daily Star, Oct. 23, 2002)

As a Jewish blogger I was of course amazed that the university took no action for such a clear expression of genocide. If it had been a neo-Nazi white person saying all blacks should gather in one place to be lynched, I’m sure the university would have taken action. Unfortunately, as we have seen so often in Europe and now in America, Islamists seem to be able to express anti-Jewish sentiment to their heart’s content without any action being taken. Is this because political correctness teaches Muslims are always the victim now?

No matter how violent individual Muslims are and how much violence is espoused by their Imams from Mosques around the world Islam is always “the religion of peace.” The irony is that we in the West are told by our political leaders that terrorism committed by Muslims is just a “small minority” of extremists and not to judge Islam as a whole. What is never admitted by the media and government, though, is that even this belief means that a section of Islamic teaching does espouse violence against non-Muslims. It is as if only “greater jihad” exists without admitting that all orthodox schools of Islam do have a concept of “lesser jihad“ in which violence is justified against non-Muslims.

Besides blogging about Albahri, I wanted to show my dismay at her actions so I joined a facebook group seeking to expel Albahri from the university, “Expel Jumanah Imad Albahri from UC San Diego.” Over the next few days I became an active member there and posted my findings that Albahri’s mother Kelly actually sued a Jewish funeral home in 1992 for, well, being Jewish. I also discovered that Jumanah’s brother had previously been listed in a Jewish community report in 2001 as being behind a MSA anti-Semitic campaign including the distribution of the infamous Judeophobic Tsarist pamphlet “The protocols of the Elders of Zion.”

The Facebook group, “Expel Jumanah Imad Albahri from UC San Diego,” became very popular quickly with over 500 members within a couple of days. I was quite active in debates with opponents who had also to joined the page from the opposing group, “Do no expel Jumanah Imad Albahri,” that I was asked to be one of the moderators of the group by the two existing ones. My lack of neutrality soon led to them removing me from that position because they did everything possible to create a very fair, emotion free environment abiding by all of Facebook’s stipulations.

This however was not enough. An Orwellian chain of events followed in which our group was closed down, both moderators and myself had our Facebook profiles disabled, and finally, my www.blog.com was closed down because I refused to take down screenshots of debates with supporters of “genocide girl” Jumanah Albahri I had taken from our group which anyone joining knew was a public group not a private one.

I should also mention that the pro-Albahri group was not disabled and is still on Facebook and none of the supporters Albahri, who supports Hamas and Hezbollah as well as genocide against Jews, have had their Facebook accounts closed. I have found evidence that the creator of the group Gutierrez has also been registering fake profiles to make his group seem larger than it actually is. Facebook, like www.blog.com, clearly have a double standard when it comes to speaking out against anti-Semitism.
On the Facebook, group I engaged in a number of public debates with Albahri’s supporters. In an effort to ensure accuracy, I took screenshots of these debates so I could not be accused of making anything up. I posted them on my blog believing that morality was on my side, however, www.blog.com capitulated to the demands of the creator of the pro-Albahri group Jacob Ryan Gutierrez and another supporter of Albahri Ayesha Dar to have my blog disabled.

In an almost illiterate email from Ana Moreira of www.blog.com I was told that;

If this person said hose (sic) kind of affirmations (“Kill all Jews”) on our platform and we’d received a comaint (sic) against it, it would be shutdown also.

Apparently since she said this on another platform, it’s the person that took her to task for her racism that is wrong. It also implies they would be happy with a blogger having a blog dedicated to supporting anti-Semitism unless someone complained about it? The threat of litigation have turned companies like www.blog.com and Facebook to prefer the supporters of racism to the opponents of it and in doing so to further the objectives of anti-Semites and jihadists.

Why Andrew Sullivan is wrong

What I find interesting about people like Sullivan and opponents of Jewish self-determination in general is that it is not just an Israeli government or leader that «lost him» but Israeli legitimacy as a whole. No one ever denies Pakistani legitimacy because of the Kashmir dispute or one Pakistani leaders action or inaction. Likewise any other country. What is it that is different about Israel and Jews in which because of one government’s policy or another Jews are suddenly denied the right of self-determination? Israel doesn’t need fickle friends who judge her by different standards than every other country.

I don’t like Obama much but this doesn’t change my feelings for the USA. Sullivan has joined the liberal emotion over reason approach to the world. This is a silly argument because the logic behind it is that the only way for Israel to win Sullivan’s support is if every action it takes meets with his approval. Solution; Make Sullivan dictator. Not only is it irrational its paternalistic. Imagine him suggesting that because of the occupation of Kurdistan Turkey should revert to being ruled by the Greeks? Or that because it occupies Western Sahara Morocco should again be ruled by France? For people like Sullivan the Jewish state is a different case to be cast adrift as soon as it disappoints him. Lebanon doesn’t give Palestinians any rights, will not disarm Hezballah and is fraught with religious tension and violence yet Sullivan never suggests it goes back to French or Syrian rule or has «lost his support».

The New Near East

I thought the following map of the near east was quite interesting. Its from a German Language blog (if you have the  Mozilla browser it will translate fairly well). The Orange is pro-Iran, Green Sunni alliance, Blue Israel and friends (Ethiopia, Kurds of Iraq, Georgia. Its not really accurate because in reality occupied Kurdistan is the size of Turkey and Israel has just announced a new alliance with Cyprus and Greece. Armenia could also be included amongst israels friends.

Welcome Jrant readers

If you’ve found me through Jrants.com then welcome. I’m glad you did. I’ve been doing a blog now for about 8 or 9 months. I was involved in a lot of debates on anti-Israel websites and kept being kicked off because they couldn’t win arguments with me as I’m incredibly informed and educated (having studied middle eastern politics, history and religion at University). I decided the only way to «win» is to have a perminant blog, my own base to retreat to. Recently that base was overrun by the forces of darkness, for this is a battle between good and evil despite what Obama would have us believe. I dont mean to sound melodramatic but we Jews and friends of Israel are dealing with an enemy that will lie and cheat and kill us in the night. What is worse is that some Jews side with our enemies in the name of political correctness and cultural relativism. My blog is a critique of current affairs in relation to Israel and the Jewish world. It is also a diary of sorts about my adventures online in debates and arguments with opponants of Israel. To be pro-Palestinian is not to be an anti-Semite always, but at the same time to be pro-Palestinian shouldn’t mean apologising or excusing Palestinian violence, terror or incitement against Jews or denial of our heritage and history. There is a culture war going on in which certain leftist forces in league with Jihadi Islamists are trying to rewrite history to portray Jews as the agressors and Arabs as the peaceful victims of colonialism. It should be pointed out that Arabs still occupy Kurdistan and Western Sahara amongst other places. Turkey occupies nothern Cyrus and Syria and Iran effectively occupy Lebanon through their proxy Hezballah. Nazism did not end with VE day in 1945. Many Nazi’s literally found refuge in Arab capitals. Nazism and the Muslim Brotherhood share many similarities. The Muslim Brotherhood is Hamas. It is little wonder than Hamas television incites children to hate Jews. I hope that in my small way I can bring attention to predudice in the media today and correct falsehoods. The blogosphere is really at the frontline of free speech. Freedom of speech together with freedom of worship, assembly and thought are really what sets our western liberal democracy apart from the forces of totalitarianism. I hope you find my blog thought provoking and I make no apologies for speaking my mind. Please feel free to comment.

An open letter

A couple of months ago I saw Jumanah Albahri’s infamous agreement with genocide against Jews from the great David Horowitz’s talk at UCSD. It horrified me so much I joined the facebook group set up to oppose such open hostility to Jews in American college campuses by members of the Muslim Students Association. I, perhaps naively, believed that since I was the anti-racist and they were the ones supporting an advocate for genocide I had legality on my side as well as morality. I was incorrect. The facebook group, “Expel Jumanah Imad Albahri from UC San Diego,” became very popular quickly with over 500 members within a couple of days. I was quite active in debates with opponents who had also joined the page from the ubiquitous opposing group, “Do no expel Jumanah Imad Albahri,” that I was asked to be one of the moderators of the group by the two existing ones. My lack of neutrality soon led to them removing me from that position because they did everything possible to create a very fair emotion free environment abiding by all of Facebook’s stipulations. Facebook has a double standard. www.blog.com also told me that; “If this person said hose (sic) kind of affirmations («Kill all Jews») on our platform and we’d received a comaint (sic) against it, it would be shutdown also.” Which of course means they would be happy with a blogger having a blog dedicated to supporting anti-Semitism unless someone complained about it? Blog.com caves into pressure from supporters of genocide against Jews

This is a lie, my blog was shut down because of Ayesha Dar a supporter of Jumanah Albahri who supports Hamas and genocide against Jews.

I received this semi-literate letter from Blog.com;

Dear Steve,

This has nothing to do with racism.

This has to do, like referred in the previous message, with sensible content regarding a third party.

If this person said hose kind of affirmations («Kill all Jews») on our platform and we’d received a comaint against it, it would be shutdown also.

Since you’ve refused to remove this content, we deactivated your blog.

To which I replied;

Hi Ana,

No1 You can’t write properly.

You’re actually saying that someone could have a blog about Killing Jews and you’d only do something because of a complaint?

This is going to go a lot further believe me!

Steve

My new Blog site

If you’re reading this then Ayesha Dar has succeeded in getting «blog.com» to delete my blog. I have moved my blog here I apologise that I may have lost a couple of posts and some of the links/comments are not working. I will try to fix everything in the future.

I received the following email today;

Good afternoon,

Following a complaint and after analyzing your blog, we are here to request the immediate removal of sensible content regarding third parties from your blog.

Point no. 7.3 from our terms of Service say the following: «Censorship — Content published by The Author is not pre-screened by Blog.com. Blog.com shall have the right, in their sole discretion, to refuse publication or remove from their systems, of Content published by The Author.»

If you refuse to take this action, we will shutdown your blog.

To which I replied;

Hi Ana,

I think we have a slight problem. I think you’re referring to a debate I had recently with an apologist for someone who said they wanted to Kill all Jews. As a Jewish blogger it is my responsibility to expose racism and anti-semitism. She said those comments on an open threat in am open facebook group. It is her that should be criticised for defending a racist and not me.

If you delete my blog because I’ve exposed a racist I will inform every Jewish blog and a number of News organisations that I’m in touch with that Blog.com supports racists and picks on Jews.

Regards,

Steve
